INTROduction
Hello,
My name is Najwa Seyedmorteza, I am a graduate from Texas Woman's University where I received my Bachlor in Arts Degree in Dance Studies. I am currently working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I am a performer and choreographer who loves collaboration and improvisation. My goal is to create works that are honest and relatable. I want to give my audience a new/different perspective on dance and want them leaving with an unforgettable experience.

Najwa Seyedmorteza, a performer and choreographer, embodies a sense of honesty as she reaches out to people from different and diverse communities as part of her dance creations. Najwa has trained under the instruction of Dr. Kihyoung Choi sense she was eighteen years old and still collaborates with her often. She has collaborated with international guest artist Ting-Ting Chang, who explores Chinese and modern dance fusion as well as participating in Korean modern dance fusion performances with Dr. Choi. She is professionally trained in Ballet and Modern dance. Najwa was part of Dr. Choi’s student based company, Movers Unlimited, from 2012-2015. She has performed in Dallas Dancefest (2014) and American College Dance Association (2014, 2015, 2016). She has done community work withGod’s Love We Deliver, a food organization, based in New York City as well as raising money for Dancer’s Responding to AIDS, another organization based in New York. Najwa recently graduated from Texas Woman's University (TWU) with a B.A in Dance Studies. In order to practice and develop her theories and learn new and intricate ways to explore the human body through dance, Najwa is pursuing her M.F.A in Dance at Texas Woman's University (TWU). She is currently working on her own pieces at TWU as well as performing in festivals under the guidance of TWU alumni, Lauren Miller, M.F.A., and her choreography “Post- It Note Monologues” (2015).
